    PAPUA - Bringing hope and progress to the remote community of Aisa Village, the Satgas Yonif Para Raider 501/Bajra Yudha Kostrad, under the HABEMA Operational Command, installed a water tower to ensure reliable access to clean water. This impactful initiative took place on Sunday, December 15, 2024, as part of their Border Security Operation in Maybrat Regency, Southwest Papua Province.

    The installation of the water tower marks a significant milestone in improving the lives of Aisa Village residents, who have long struggled with limited access to clean water. The Commander of Satgas Yonif 501 Kostrad, Lieutenant Colonel Infantry Yakhya Wisnu Arianto, emphasized the TNI's unwavering commitment to enhancing the welfare of communities in Papua’s border areas. “This water tower is more than infrastructure; it represents a solution to the basic needs of the residents. We hope it will improve health, hygiene, and daily life in Aisa Village, ” he stated.

    The response from the community was overwhelmingly positive, as residents celebrated the arrival of clean water in their village. Mama Afrida, a local elder, expressed heartfelt gratitude: “For years, fetching water meant long walks and hard labor. Now, with the water tower, life has become much easier. We are deeply thankful to the TNI.”

    In addition to addressing a critical necessity, the initiative also reinforced the strong bond between the TNI and the local community. Brigadier General TNI Lucky Avianto, Commander of HABEMA, lauded the efforts, saying, “This project showcases the TNI’s dedication to building partnerships and creating tangible solutions that uplift the people of Papua. It aligns with our mission to foster sustainable development in the region.”

    The newly installed water tower stands as a beacon of progress and a testament to the TNI’s commitment to transforming lives in even the most remote corners of Papua. With this initiative, Satgas Yonif 501 Kostrad continues to embody their mission of service, inclusivity, and community empowerment.
